Coaches Bio:

Jon Walker returns to Kristianstad for a 2nd year as Head Football Coach of the Kristianstad Predators. In 2012 Coach Walker lead the Senior Predators to a 14-0 record, winning the Swedish Division 1 National Championship. Coach Walker was then asked to take his high speed spread offense to the Swedish Junior National team. As offensive coordinator Jon was able to help Team Sweden earn the gold medal in the 2012 Nordic Championships. As well as a victory against Holland in a European Championship qualification game. Coach Walker brings his loose but aggressive style of coaching to the Predators and looks forward to the new Challenges that lie ahead.

Coach Walker comes to the Kristianstad Predators with 14 years experience coaching football in Sacramento, California. At American River College Coach Walker started as the Offensive Line coach and from 2009-2011 served as Offensive Coordinator and Running Backs coach. ARC's offense under Coach Walker's guidance flourished; in 2009 was the #2 Offense in the State of California. Breaking 12 schools records. In 2010 ARC finished 10-1 and won the Mid Empire Conference Championship and the Central Division Bowl Championship. The offense ranked in the top 10 in most statistical categories. #3 in scoring and #3 in rushing offense. In 2011 they finished 11-0 repeating as Mid Empire Conference Champions and the Central Division Bowl Champions. Coach Walker’s offense finished #1 in the state in scoring and #2 in yards while breaking another 11 school records. Coach Walker brings back his high tempo, fast paced, no huddle spread offense to the Predators for 2013.

Coach Walker began his football career at Bella Vista High School, graduating in 1994. He played both Center and Defensive Tackle and finished his High School career with 2 All-League Awards and was voted to the Sac Bee’s All-Metro Team. He went on to play at the University of San Diego from 1994-1996. At Center he received All Pioneer Conference honors in the 1995 and 1996 seasons. Jon has extensive experience both playing and coaching the offensive and defensive line. Coach Walker has used that experience and knowledge to build a great foundation of linemen here with the Predators.

Outside of football Jon has worked with kids where he ran a science day camp for children at Sacramento State University. Jon loves to travel and hopes to see more of Sweden and Europe while working in Kristianstad. He enjoys fishing and golfing in the off season. He is looking forward to experiencing both here in Sweden.
